Dynamic Plating

The X-Bolt Dynamic Plating system is ideal for femoral neck & intertrochanteric fractures, lessening the chance of cut-out, rotational instability and non-union, compared to tradtional screw fixation.

• One centre-centre guidewire shot into the femoral head

• X-BOLT® is expanded with screwdriver rotation of inner drive screw

   

• Maximal expansion (24mm span) is seen on AP & lateral fluoroscopy

• Drive screw maintains constant postion at 'tip-apex' point

   

• Expanding limbs push out perpendicular to X-BOLT® shaft

• Ensures no disruptive forces are transmitted to femoral head

   

• Compression of surrounding cancellous bone increases fixation strength

• Excellent rotational stability, whilst allowing dynamic fracture compression

• Expansion can be reversed to allow implant removal
